The bore is nice, with lands and grooves still present, though it is worn and has some areas of darkening. Serial # 92919 with a partly legible SWP cartouche, overall nice blue/gray aged metal finish with all proofs still present, though worn.

This is a wonderful example of the classic Springfield trapdoor rifle, the weapon used, in its carbine form, by the troopers of the 7th Cavalry that met their fate at the Battle of Little Big Horn in 1876.
